Last Weekend - Graebs

Long post...sorry didn't want to split it up!

Last weekend we went to the Graebs place near Brookings.  We went to get away from home for a weekend and to spend some time with them and to do some dog training.  The are part of a kennel now from Minnesota specializing in Llewellyn setters.  They had 7 dogs at their place last weekend and picked up on more on Sunday.  The weather was beautiful, not hot like it has been.  Hadley enjoyed walking around their place and seeing different things.  We hung out on Saturday and did some dog training and the same with Sunday.  Ate some good food and more people were there on Sunday morning for training.  Here are some pics from the weekend.

Jake...one of the Llewellyns

I walked around to take pics up close of different things...

Rainy and Tar...in one of the many Graeb kennels.

Hadley looking at the bobwhite quail in the pen.

We used her wagon a lot to pull her around and she loved pushing it too.

The chain gang...

Hadley relaxing in her chair...

Hadley liked Brian...aka Dr. Graeb!

Walked up to the area overlooking the marsh with the doggies.

Misty, on point for a planted pigeon.

The pigeon flying away with Misty watching it...

Now Jake on point for planted pigeon...

Misty again...
Here is a really neat one.  Lady the brown Llewellyn was first to point the planted pigeon...then Sauger backed her, got some neat pics...Some of them I fooled around with in the Adobe elements.

Thanks Graebs for hosting us, it was fun.  One last thing from the weekend.  It's such a small world, we stopped at a gas station to get some ice on the way home and as we were pulling away I told Geno to pull over to some people on Harley's because I recognized two of them. Turns out it was my friend Jessica's husband Luke's parents - Linda and Larry Fischer from Cable, WI which is up North in WI.  They were on their way to Wyoming on their bikes.  It so funny because we were still two hours from home in the middle of nowhere in De Smet, SD!!!  And we run into someone we know who lives probably 10-12 hours from us!!  Great to see them even though it was only for a few minutes!
